Support Team Member
As a Support Team Member, you’ll keep our clients’ technology running the way it should. We’re open to two shapes for the right person: full-time, both visiting clients (including in their homes) and working on computers in our back room; or part-time, focused on back-room computer work. The role flexes with our seasons: more time with clients in the slower months, and more days in the back room during our busy fall and spring cleanup surges, when a wave of machines comes through the shop.

Responsibilities include, and are not limited to:
- Perform PC and Mac tune-ups
- Transfer data between devices
- Set up and configure new devices
- Prepare client pickup and delivery bags
- Erase old hard drives, computers, smartphones, and tablets
- Keep our inventory and internal databases up to date
- Help keep the workroom organized and clean
- Learn and use new software systems and tools
- Full-time role: visit clients in their homes to set up, install, and support their technology
- Full-time role: help clients directly, in person, on the phone, and at pickups and deliveries, with patience and warmth
- Full-time role: shift between client work and the back room as the season demands
Qualifications
What we're looking for in the right person.
- Experience with both macOS and Windows
- Ability to type 50 WPM with excellent accuracy
- Comfortable communicating with clients on the phone in a business setting
- Able to set clear, honest expectations with clients
- Willingness to learn new apps and platforms you’re not yet familiar with
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize your work
- Clear, concise, and precise communication is an absolute must
- Resourcefulness in coming up with a solution
- Attention to detail and strong observation skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- A profit mindset, and satisfaction in checking items off a to-do list
- A genuine love for people (many of them retired folks)
- Full-time role: a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Full-time role: comfort and professionalism working in clients’ homes, many of them older adults

Schedule
Part-time or full-time
We’re open to both for the right candidate. Full-time is 32–40 hours; part-time is 0–32 hours.
Typically 7am–6pm, Monday through Thursday
We’re flexible: some tasks can be done at any time, while others should happen during business hours. Fridays are an option for someone working 40 hours per week.
Pay
Full-time: $24–$30 / hour to start, depending on experience
Part-time: $18–$24 / hour to start, depending on experience
Paid time off
Full-time: 18 days of paid time off per year, accrued at 5.5386 hours per pay period (based on 40 hours worked per week)
Part-time: 1 hour of earned sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked
Paid holidays
Full-time employees receive these days off, paid:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day (July 4th)
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Friday after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
